Calling Musicians

of any style, instrument or voice
to take part in our

10 hour Music Improvisation Marathon
Saturday 11th May 2019
10am to 8pm
at
Glasgow University Concert Hall
We are having another sponsored music improvisation marathon. This has been an annual event for several years. Participants have included amateur and professional musicians, including a number of our clients, staff and trustees. Feedback has been very positive; as well as the event being a successful fundraiser, the musicians get a great deal of satisfaction and the music is amazing. We have teamed up with Glasgow University again this year to make this event open to the public. So, if you are interested, you can take part or you can just drop in and listen for a bit. You can hear some of our previous events on our YouTube channel. If you like what you hear, please support this event at our page on wonderful.org
Open-minded musicians are invited to join our adventurous bunch of improvisers in creating a day of completely new music. To take part, all you need is to be able to bring your own instrument (or voice), improvise with others for between 1 and 9 hours, collect sponsorship or sign up to a 'donate to play' option. All proceeds will go to support opportunities for people with mental illness in Glasgow to participate in music-making and other meaningful activities.

To sign up or for more information contact Katherine at katherine@commonwheel.org.uk or 0141 211 0668

Whether you're an amateur musician or an improviser by trade, you are welcome to get involved in some truly original musical athletics for a very good cause.
