Raleigh 20

This is Machig and her Raleigh 20. She is a Buddist Nun, and wanted a bike for local work she could ride with her robes on. This is the first time we have ever fitted a skirtguard to a small wheeler, and after the trouble involved in getting it to fit, it is likely to be the last.

This bike says Sun on it, though it is made by Raleigh. Why? Badge Engineering. Raleigh sold the same bike under different names through different retail channels.

The basket is a Basil, and was easy to fit. We have fitted alloy rims as usual, otherwise the bike is standard.
