Our wholesalers

We have accounts with various wholesalers, who we buy new parts from. If you want anything from one of these companies, call or email and we can order it. We don't promise to be the cheapest supplier. In fact, we will almost certainly sell any item at the retail price listed. We may fit it for free.

In approximate order of when we opened the account, here they are:

Greyville

Our first wholesaler account, the result of a very eager salesman willing to get us credit. Greyville are a medium sized outfit, reliable and well run (as far as we can tell). They do a good line in luggage, particularly the superb Rixen Kaul baskets, Stronglight chainrings, Polaris clothing, Suntour parts (sold out of all the old stuff) and Schwalbe tyres. They also do a good basic steel headset that is on about 20% of the bikes we sell.

Raleigh

Raleigh sell just about every bit you could need for a bike. Their machine made wheels are the best we have found. We also buy SKS mudguards from them.

Amba

Unlike most wholesalers, Amba need more than a credit reference before you can open an account. We had to supply a reference that we actually know something about bikes and will give good advice. They supply the fantastic Busch and Muller lights, Puky bikes and the SL universal light bracket which solves many problems. They supply the Koga bikes, but we will only take orders for the Randonneur as it is made of steel.

Cycle Division

We came to the Cycle Division for the Sturmey Archer parts, and stayed for the lovely red grease. Cycle Division concentrate on the bread and butter of the cycle trade, chains, brake blocks, ball bearings and so on. Their stuff arrives the next day without fail, and the phone is often answered by the boss, Martin. Their website is trade only.

Fisher

One of the big boys. Every Schwalbe tyre made listed, and most of them in stock. We get our inner tubes from them, and most of our lights.

Hykeham Wholesale

Hykeham are great. Any obscure old bit you need will be there, and they are delighted to sell it to you. Rod brake parts, strange rim sizes, cotter pins and the very trendy tartan rack top bags.

Ison

Rohloff hubs, some interesting frames and good tools.
