How to donate money
Common Wheel is registered as a charity (SC 031798) with the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR) and with HMRC. We welcome donations from individuals, legacies and corporate entities. Individual donations can be made online using Paypal or BT MyDonate, in cash, or by cheque (made out to Common Wheel), or they can be made through an employer Give as You Earn scheme or from a Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Charity Account (see http://www.cafonline.org/).
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to yourself. Under Gift Aid rules, if you complete a donor "declaration", the Project can reclaim 25p of the tax you pay for every £1 you donate. Higher rate taxpayers who complete a self-assessment return can reclaim a further 25p (40% tax band) or 37.5p (50% tax band) of tax paid for every £1 donated.
If you donate through the Payroll Giving scheme, tax is automatically included at your highest rate, and no further action is required.
Please send cheques or cash to our Maryhill Branch. If you are a UK taxpayer please print and complete a gift aid form and enclose it with your donation.
