Dutch bikes

Sometimes people want "bikes like the ones they have in Holland". Well if you eat Stroopwaffles and drink coffee from really small cups a Dutch bike is a good idea. Here in Scotland where the land rises and falls, and water flows without being pumped the very heavy Dutch bike is less of a good idea. What you probably want is a Three Speed Roadster, many of which were sold in the Netherlands, and are usually about 5 kg lighter.

We do sometimes get Dutch bikes in, and as long as the spare parts are availible we sell them for about the same as English roadsters.

Some Dutch bikes use a pressed in Thompson bottom bracket, which can be very hard to get replacement parts for.
