Donations wanted

The kind of bike we sell has become popular again, and we are getting a bit low on stock.

We are always happy to receive donations at any branch. It's best to telephone first to check opening times. We don't often collect bikes, but may be able to do so (we don't have a van for environmental reasons).

Details of where we are and opening times are here.

We are particularly keen on good older bikes. The Maryhill branch does a lot of old roadsters and shoppers,  Bridgeton does everything.

Bikes originally sold by bike shops are the easiest to re-use. Bikes sold by multiple retailers and supermarkets are mostly very low quality, very hard to repair and nasty to ride even when new. A bike that has lasted ten years or more is probably good quality and will give many more years of service.

We are particularly keen on Dawes bikes. Any lightweight (Claude Butler, Holdsworth, Carlton, Raleigh Lightweight etc) will be greatly appreciated and sold to someone who will love it and look after it.

We don't buy bikes, as it is very hard to tell which are stolen. We sometimes offer a trade in allowance.

We also like old tools. If we can't use them ourselves, we will pass them on to someone who can.

Straightforward donations of money are always welcome.  Please click here for further information.
