Charles was a man of many talents!

A keen cyclist and musician with a designer’s eye for detail.

A great friend, son, brother and partner and he knew how to throw a party!

He possessed a natural sense of justice; great generosity, compassion, empathy and a keen intelligence which understood how stigma can paralyse those living with, and trying to recover from, mental health problems. He was not on the sidelines where this was concerned being a passionate activist and advocate for the rights of the vulnerable.

It seems fitting that there should be an association between Charles and Common Wheel, given his love of the song; of the bike; and his tendency towards the unconventional!

Here at Common Wheel, we deeply appreciate this connection to him and value the opportunity to build on his memory and efforts, through the organisation’s work.

In lieu of flowers the family have suggested that donations may be made to Common Wheel, by any of the methods described on this page. If you choose to do this, please add a note to say that you are doing this in memory of Charles.  If you are donating via PayPal there is an option to leave a message during the payment process.
