Arran
Arran is lovely.
This is the road to Lochranza, near the top of the pass.
Lochranza castle.
Holy Island, where Buddists live.
A view west from the road between Pirnmill and Blackwaterfoot.
The Witches' Step seen from Glen Rosa. You'll be doing well to get a bike this far.
One method of carrying spades.
The famous lump of rock called Ailsa Craig.
Arran has one main road. The north end has one big hill and is fun. The south has lots of very steep hills, as this page from the 1900 "Contour Road Book of Scotland" shows. You can find a much better scan of the whole book here.
For more information about Arran, see the website of the local paper. Not much happens in Arran.
